Home sales are made in all kinds of weather and for all kinds of reasons. Job transfers, newly married, empty nesters, a new baby or retirement are just a few of the reasons for home sales.
It’s never too early to start preparing for a home sale. I have always said that a home in top condition will bring top dollar. A meticulously maintained home will insure the highest return. If you haven’t kept up with home repairs, such as leaky faucets and gutters or peeling paint and overgrown shrubbery, it’s time to get started!
Buyers typically make their buying decision within the first 60 seconds of viewing the property. This is known as curb appeal. It’s up to you to make that first 60 seconds count! Declutter, clean and stage if necessary. A good stager is worth their weight in gold. The best advice I can give you is to call a trusted Realtor® and have her do a critical walk through with you and then listen. It will be a matter of good home dollars and sense!
